Beyond Me Music Group is more than a band—it is a high-energy movement where artistic expression meets direct social action. Founded by lead artist Watson Tunez, this collective of elite session musicians and vocalists pioneered the genre of "Humanitarian Hip-Hop and Positive Pop-Rap." We are a collective that uses music, media, live stream concerts, and more to create songs that awaken your innate compassion and inspire you to positively impact the world.

The Movement: Beyond Me Music Group
Driven by a passion for empowerment, Watson founded the Beyond Me Music Group (also known as "Beyond Me" or "BME Music Collective") to serve as his premier backing band and a collaborative engine for the Beyond Me Entertainment label and the Beyond Me Initiative non-profit. The collective is a powerhouse of session musicians and vocalists dedicated to "Humanitarian Hip-Hop and Positive Pop-Rap"—a movement where artistic expression fuels direct social action. The group’s roots trace back to the campus of Anderson University, in the stater of Indiana, sparked by Watson’s mission to aid his homeland following the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
What began as a group of student-artists united by a common goal has evolved into a sophisticated mission: using profanity-free, socially conscious music to inspire fans to share their "talents and treasures" for the greater good. Operating on the belief that "change begins at a local level, and then it goes beyond," the group adopted the name "Beyond Me" from the university’s campus theme. Today, that name remains their North Star—an ethos of using creative capacity to alleviate human suffering both locally and across the globe.
The Beyond Me Story: From Campus to Community
Since its inception, Beyond Me Music Group has evolved from a grassroots college project into a global movement for good. Our journey began in 2013 with the Beyond Me Haiti EP, a project that leveraged campus tours and merchandise to raise significant funds and awareness for disaster relief. Building on this momentum in 2014, we partnered with the Drew Brees Foundation and the Super Service Challenge to amplify our message of local service. After raising over $50,000 for relief efforts, our reach went international; through a strategic partnership with Mud Ministry, we led humanitarian impact trips to Haiti, providing direct grants to non-profits performing essential work on the ground. Following these international impact trips over the summer, the founding members moved on to pursue new interests, while Watson transitioned into a solo career. This period of growth culminated in the release of his debut studio album, Long Way To Go, on December 3, 2021.
The Rebirth: Touring & Local Impact
In 2025, Beyond Me Music Group re-emerged as Watson began collaborating and touring with local indianapolis-based, independent artists Costabelle Ja'nae and Bobby BGAME. He united with them at a charity Christmas event and asked them to join the group and tour with him for the year. After successfully completing the 30-event tour, Watson continued making music as a solo artist. Today, Beyond Me Music Group serves as his premier backing band, comprised of elite vocalists and session musicians. Together, they fuel the social mission of Beyond Me Entertainment (record label) and Beyond Me Initiative (non-profit): harnessing the power of music to inspire humanitarian action and funding local charities in their mission to alleviate human suffering.
The Evolution of Beyond Me's Social Mission:
Under Watson’s leadership and music style, Beyond Me Music Group helped the organization, Beyond Me Entertainment and its non-profit counterpart, Beyond Me Initiative, shift from supporting International relief work in Haiti to embodying a more universal concept of supporting humanitarian work as a whole, rallying people to serve their own communities—addressing issues like youth advocacy, homelessness, and education.
In Tune with the Future:
While inspired by organizations like WE Charity, Beyond Me Entertainment (the record label and media company) and Beyond Me Initiative (the charity arm) stands in a league of its own by placing music at the heart of activism. Watson Tunez and his collective continue to prove that hip-hop can be a bridge to tangible solutions, fostering a world where we reach beyond ourselves to connect with our inner power to heal. Get ready to get in tune with the music and movement of Beyond Me. Get ready to Live Beyond You.
Over the years, Beyond Me has evolved from its origins as a campus club at Anderson University into a multifaceted partner for corporations, schools, and non-profits. Today, we collaborate with organizations to help them achieve their CSR goals, strengthen their reputations, and enhance their bottom line.
